There was a time he lived in a cloud. And not because he was in love but because it literally was part of a cloud of gas and dust, some 4500 million years. There I was, floating in space with nothing better to do than look at my belly (well, rather the atoms that form below my belly).
Suddenly I noticed that all the atoms around me began to move in the same direction. I looked there and saw a lot of atoms together floating. I refused to go with the other atoms but as there were so many because I felt quite drawn, really. So I finally decided to drag me by the mass and go with them. Whenever
came more and more atoms to travel with us and some came in groups numerous. So to take place in our group sometimes had to go giving nudges and bumps.
The truth is that I was already getting tired of so much overcrowding and started to warm (do not know if it's because we were growing tighter because not stand or butting with the new ones were added to the group.)
We were not the only ones who had decided to travel together. Around us were other objects. Most smaller but then saw some much larger than the rest.
And suddenly we saw a large group who kept adding more and more objects. The view was so spectacular that object without realizing that nothing more we started to turn around to see how it ended. If we were starting to take heat, I do not see how the atoms should be the center of that big ball that we were contemplating.
all happened suddenly. Later I learned that it all started because at the very center of the large object of some atoms were filled tightened and tightened and end up hitting each other. Like a western saloon they were started a chain reaction and everybody started hitting each other and banging.
The fight started suddenly.
Those who were more out saw that was forming in the center of the object and began to go out. In fact even those who were moving the object to see the mess that was forming decided to get as far away as possible from the heart.

I really liked diving into the water and there I started collecting atoms protegidito friends to form living beings evolved increasingly to see if they finally managed to gather all needed to form the evolving living being until all hours of the am writing these lines.
In other words: As a cloud of gas and dust through gravitational attraction were formed more and heavier objects. One of them was very large and the central hydrogen atoms colliding with each giving rise to the first nuclear fusion reactions and the ball of gas heated to temperatures so large that they began to emit light. Thus was formed the Sun

Well, at least that's what I learned in school. Surely all this interpretation is wrong. I say this because now we're starting to find planets around other stars we see there are gas planets near the star, which contradicts the model you were talking about. Since then, draw conclusions from only 8 planets in a planetary system was perhaps a little hasty, but we must take into account that until 15 years ago was known only our solar system as an example.
